MRS, JOHN MEENDERING
Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Boyden First Reformed church for Mrs. John Meendering, who passed away at her home south of Boyden at the age, of 62 years, due to cancer.

Rev. Henry Schoon, pastor of, the church, officiated. Pallbearers were six nephews.
Jessie Kooima was born February 7, 1897, at Rock Valley, Iowa and spent her entire life in Sioux County, living at Rock Valley and Boyden. On February 23, 1921. She was united in marriage to John Meendering at Rock Valley. They farmed in Rock Valley until March, 1949, when they moved to their present home south of Boyden.

To this union eight daughters and one son was born: Fannie (Mrs. Louis De Boer) of Boyden,
Gertrude (Mrs. Thomas De Groot) of Boyden, Johanna (Mrs. Fred Mulder) of Rushmore, Minn.. Alberta Meendeirng of Grand Rapids. Mich.. Marian, Ruth and Jacob all at home.

She loaves to mourn her passing, her husband, children, her aged mother, Mrs. Fanny Kooiman. Mrs. Robert Jacobsma of Rock Valley, Mrs. John Dekkers of Hawarden, five brothers and a host of other relatives and friends.Two daughters preceded her in death, besides her father, Jake Kooiman, of Rock Valley.
