John Overgaauw, 84, Boyden, died Thursday, November 20, in a hospital at Sheldon. Services were at 11 a.m. Saturday in the First Reformed Church at Boyden.
The Rev. Sylvester Moths officiated. Burial was in the Boyden Cemetery under direction of the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home of Boyden.

Mr. Overgaauw was born Feb. 18, 1896. in The Netherlands. He came to the United States and to the Boyden and ; Matlock area in 1920. He married Carrie Boone Oct. 30, 1923, at Orange City. She died Feb. 8, 1965, Mr. Overgaauw was a retired farmer.

Survivors include a son, Henry of Boyden, and a brother, Marinus of Holland. Minn.
