Gerrit Mostert Dies At Wheel Of Car

A heart attack was fiatal for a Rock Valley man. Mr. Gerrit Mostert who died enroute home from Canby, Minn. Monday evening. Riding with Mostert who was at the wheel of the car were Mrs. Teunis De Bondt, and Mr and Mrs. C. Klaarenbeek of Sioux Center.

They had gone to Canby for the day to visit with the parents of Mrs. De Bondt, and had just stopped at Lutverne. Minn. for some lunch. Just a short time later he slumped down over the wheel of the car.

Mr. Klarenbeek who was riding in front with him, managed to stop the car just before it left the road, and Mr. Mostert passed away only a few minutes later.

Mostert is survived by his four sons, Jake Van Beek, Dick Van Beek. His wife passed away several years ago.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at one o’clock at the Dick Van Beek home and at one thirty o’clock at the First Reformed Church at Rock Valley.
