Ann Otten, 85, Alcester, died Wednesday, Dec. 13,2000 at Sioux Valley Hospital in-Sioux Falls. Funeral services were Saturday, Dec. 16, at the Christian Reformed Church in Hawarden with burial at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Alcester. Wass Funeral Home in Alcester was in charge of arrangements.

Ann DeYager was born Aug. 15,1915, in Orange City, to Gerrit and Tillie (DeVries) DeYager. She married Gilbert Otten on July 26,1935 in Doon. The couple farmed east of Hawarden until 1938 when they moved to a farm northwest of Alcester. In 1984 they retired and moved into Alcester. Mr. Otten died in March of 1986, Mrs. Otten moved to Morningside Manor were she resided until present time. She was a member of the Christian Reformed Church in
Hawarden.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four brothers and three sisters.
