Muriel M. Ostendorf
Muriel M. Ostendorf, 68, of Oshkosh, Wis. died Friday, Feb. 2,2001, at Mercy Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services were held at Grace Reformed Church in Fond du Lac. The Rev. Barry Vegter officiated. Burial wasat New Elm Cemetery.

Muriel was born Oct. 10, 1932, at Newkirk, the daughter of Peter and Gertrude (Van Roekel) Roos. She was raised and educated in northwest Iowa. Muriel married Harry Ostendorf on April 7,1953, at Bethel Reformed Church in Sheldon. She was employed for many years by the Ob/Gyn Clinic of Oshkosh.

Mrs. Ostendorf was a member of Grace Reformed Church in Fond du Lac. She was a member of the A G Chapter of P.E.O., the Jennie Marvin Antiquists group and the UWO Faculty Dames.

Survivors include her husband Harry, a daughter Tamra and her husband Norbert Hettinga of Salem, Ohio; two sons, David Ostendorf and his wife Julia of Waukesha, Wis. and Mark Ostendorf of Brookfield, Wis.; two grandchildren, Benjamin Hettinga and his wife Ada
and Michelle Hettinga; and five sisters and two brothers, Nelvera Schiebout and her husband Abe of Orange City, BerniceBakerofAllendale, Mich., Kenneth Roos and his wife Berdena of
Sheldon, Maxine Heemstra and her husband Ray of Bartlesville, Okla., Gladys Kessel of Grandville, Mich., Arlene Lubbers and her husband Charles of Orange City and Edwin Roos and his wife Beverly of Ashton. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother, Kenneth Edwin Roos.
