Burns Prove Fatal to Will Moser
Will A. Moser, who was so terribly burned by a gasoline explosion on his farm northwest of Platte, S. D., on the evening of Oct. 4th, died last Friday evening in the hospital at Geddes, S D., where he was taken following the accident. His burns were so severe that little hope was held out from the first by the attending physicians but he lingered for nine days during which time he endured untold suffering. The remains were brought to Ireton, arriving
here Monday night, and lay in state at Satterlee & Peebles undertaking parlors Tuesday.

Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon,
conducted by Rev. J. A. Kettle, pastor. of the M. E. church, and interment was made in Pleasant Hill cemetery.

Will A. Moser was the youngest son Mr. and Mrs. Peter Moser of Ireton was born at Schell City, Mo., Nov. 1884, and died at Geddes, S. D., Oct. 13, 1922, at the age of 37 years, 11 months and 9 days. He came to Ireton with his parents in 1893 and grew to manhood on the farm west and south of Ireton with his parents. On March 11,1907, he was united in marriage with Miss Jennie Heathcote, who survive him. They continued to make their home in this vicinity until the spring of 1918 when they moved onto the farm near Platte which has since been their home. Five children were born to them, two boys and three girls, the eldest dying in infancy. The surviving children are Vivian and Velda, twins, aged 13, Wayne, aged 10, and Carmen, aged 5. Besides his aged parents he is also survived by two brothers and one sister, Fred Moser of Windom, Minn Albert Moser of Plankinton, S. D., and Mrs. Mary Kuehnstadt of San Diego, Calif., all of whom were at his bedside before
the end came.

The deceased was a man of the strictest integrity and was highly esteemed, not only in this community where he lived for twenty-five years, but also in the South Dakota community
where he-has resided for the past four or five years. His industry and business ability brought financial success and his word was as good as his bond. He was a most devoted husband and father and his guiding hand and protection will be sorely missed by the members of his family. The deepest sympathy of all goes out to the grief stricken relatives in their sad loss.
