Mrs. L. Bodine Dies In Illinois
Former Hawarden Resident Succumbs Following Long Illness; Husband Was Northwestern Conductor.
Mrs. L. T. Bodine, a former resident, died Saturday in the home of her son Ira Bodine, at De Kalb IL. Her niece, Mrs. Paul Schiefen of Hawarden, left Saturday night for De Kalb to attend the funeral.

Mrs. Bodine lived at Hawarden at various times when her husband was conductor on the Northwestern railroad. After Mr. Bodine retired they lived at Huron SD., and in Sioux City. Later when their health failed they went ot DeKalb to live with her son. Mrs. Bodine had been had been bedfast for about a year and a half.

Survivors are her husband and son.

(Found that her husband was Lewis T. Bodine born Oct 1870 Illinois, She was Matie or Mary born Jan 1870 Illinois, they were married 1895 and in the 1900 census had one other son William. In 1903 it was mentioned the Mrs. Lewis Bodine’s sister was Emma Bristol)
