Sioux County Capital, After December 10, 1996

Faye M. Bolie, 76, of Orange City died Tuesday, December 3, at the Heritage House Nursing Home in Orange City.

Services were Saturday, December 7, at 2 p.m., at the Van Etten-Oolman-Van Gelder Funeral Home in Orange City. Burial was in West Lawn Cemetery.

Bolie was born December 9, 1919 in Silverton, Oregon, the son of Chris & Ruth (Wilson) Bolie. He was raised in Burt, where he gradauted from high school in 1937. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He married Violet B. Scearce on November 10, 1946, in Algona. The couple lived in Eagle Grove for many years. They moved to Orange City in 1971 where he was a salesman for Case Implement in Alton. He retired in 1981. He became a resident of the Heritage House in May of this year.

He was a member of the LeMars Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mary Diane Thorndyke of Muscatine; Sharon Bolie of Orange City, and Delores Kliever of South Sioux City; a son and his wife, Mark & Tammy of Orange City; five brothers, Kenneth of Woodbine; Weldon of Ruthven; Victor Wayne of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Paul of Brea, California, and David of Thompson; a sister, Donna Millard of Jefferson, South Dakota; and three grandsons.
