Sherman- Delmar Dale Stange went to be with his Lord and Savior in the kingdom of Heaven on Friday, December 28, 2012 at the age of 86.

Delmar was born August 25, 1926 in Hull, Iowa, the son of George and Anna (DeJong) Stange. He served in the United States Navy and the Royal Netherland Marine Corp, as a medic after graduating from high school in 1944. After his return for the service, he married his "Junior High Sweetheart," Dolores Ann Oostenink on August 15, 1947. He was a member of the American Legion for 60 years. He enjoyed his many friendships he made while in the Chevrolet business. He was a lifetime member of the Lutheran Church. He enjoyed reading and studying the Bible.

Delmar is survived by his loving family; his wife, Dolores, and 3 sons, Douglas, Darrell, David and their families. Grandchildren are Andrea and Nathan, Griffin and Parker, and 1 great grandchild, Taylor Elizabeth.

After retiring in Sherman, Texas, he had the opportunity to spend time with his twin grandchildren. They were the joy of his life and they loved their Grandpa.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law Darlene Boeve.

Memorial services will be in Trinity Lutheran Church on Monday, December 31, at 2:00 AM with Pastor Craig Sturm officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church.

It was Delmar's choice to be cremated and to be buried at Hope Cemetery in Hull, Iowa at a later date.
