Violet Heeren
Violet Heeren, 84, of Hawarden died Monday, July 19, at the hospital In Hawarden.
Services were at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 21, at United Methodist Church in Hawarden with the Rev. Paul Hansen officiating. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery.
The former Violet Warner was born January 11. 1909. at Canton. South Dakota, daughter of John and Gertie (Voverka) Warner. She graduated from Hawarden High School in 1927 and
received nurse's training in Chicago.
She worked for the Hawarden Community Hospital, then married Louis Heeren March 11, 1935, at Cedar
Rapids. They lived in Hawarden. He died December 21. 1971.
Survivors Include three daughters. Eyelene Gaul of Hawarden, Shirley Dagle of Copperopolis, California,
and Janice Compher of Glen Burnie, Maryland; four brothers, Merle Warner of Tyler, Minnesota, Frank Warner of Hudson, South Dakota. Chester Warner of Hesperia, California, and Olden Warner of Hudson, South Dakota; a sister, Wava Reed of Nampa, Idaho; 23 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild..
