Roy Leffert Dies Following an operation for Appendicitis
Word was received here on the morning of the Fourth of the sudden death of Roy Leffert at his home near Canton, following an operation for appendicitis. The operation was performed at the home of his parents the day before. The funeral as held at Canton Yesterday. Roy Leffert grew up from boyhood in the vicinity of Hawarden and has frequently with his parents visited here since he moved with his parents to Canton. His many friends here extend sincere sympathy to the bereaved family.
(In the 1900 census of Logan Tsp Sioux County, William N. Leffert age 47 and wife Jane age 45 lived with children – Roy W. 19, Milton B. 17, Elmyra W. 14 and Frank B. 7. Also found that his mother’s name was Jane Bradley.)
