R. Terpstra aged sixty-eight died Tuesday of cancer of the stomach The funeral was held on Thursday at the Christian reformed church.
(From an account on ancestry.com Ritske Pieters Terpstra born 6 Jan 1836 Baradeel Friesland Neth. Died 27 Apr 1904 Sioux county, IA (assumed Orange City, no stone exists ) His first wife was Pietje Pieters Harkema b. 1841-1887 married 11 May 1861 Barradeel. He came with his family in 1890 and marriage Boukje Teimersma on 22 Oct 1890. His children were – Reinskje 1862, Pietertje 1863, Pieter 1865, Jochum 1867, Sippe 1869-1880, Sjoerd 1871-1902, Klaas 1873, Rientje 1875, Jette 1877 and Sippe 1881.
