Word comes down from Newkirk vicinity that Mrs. Miedema who lived on the C. Van Rooyen farm dropped daed Wednesday evening. She and her husband had been out visiting in the afternoon and were just going to prayer meeting in the evening when she succumbed to a sudden attack of heart disease. She is the third member of her family to die this way.
(this was Marie/Maria Scheltema born 9 Sep 1863 Baradeel, Friesland, Netherlands to Ernst Johannes Scheltema and Botje Jans Hibma married on 24 May 1884 at Barradeel to Johannes Miedema; he was born 11 Dec 1880 Baradeel and died 18 Sep 1932 North Dakota. He and Maria had a son Ernest born 1886 and died 1980. Johannes married Jannetje Knoll 1861-1930 abt 1908 IA They had at least on son Naning 1909-1921.)
