Geneva Jean Vanden Bosch was born June 7, 1933 near Ireton, Iowa the daughter of George and Celia (Vanden Berg) Vande Kamp. She graduated from the Ireton Christian School and was a live in caretaker for families of small children in the Ireton area..
She married Leonard J. Vanden Bosch on October 21, 1954 at Ireton. They lived in Ocheydan, Iowa until moving to their farm north of Rock Valley in 1960. Geneva enjoyed being a farm wife, helping out in the farm until she was unable, at which time she stayed involved by being the farm secretary. She was a charter member of the Trinity Christian Reformed Church where she was a member of the share Our Faith Society. She died Saturday, January 17, 1998 at the Sioux Center Community Hospital at the age of
64 years, 7 months and 10 days. survivors include her husband, Leonard; 2 sons and their wives, Leon and Laurie, Loren and Terri; 2 daughters and their husbands, Nancy and Ken Zevenbergen, Marlys and Gary Moget; 6 brothers and their wives, Gerrit and
Priscilla, Hilbert and Loraine, Marvin and Harriet, Alan and Marlene, George and Darla,
Vernon and Leona; 4 sisters and their husbands, Winnifred and Alfred De Jong, C e l i a and Marvin Ten Napel, Geri and John Van Holland, Norma and Nelson Nikkei; 11 grandchildren, Jennifer, Tessa and Bret Vanden Bosch, Malinda, Grant, Sarah and Briara Zevenbergen, Melissa and Matthew Moget, Ashley and Joshua Vanden Bosch.
