Mrs John G. Vande Berg of Cedar Falls, Iowa, passed away Jan. 30 at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo.
Mrs. Vande Berg, the former Mabel Beernink was born May 14, 1899 in Sioux Center. Short committal services were held Wednesday, Feb. 3 in the First Reformed Church of Sioux Center with Dr. Thurman Rynbrandt officiating. Burial took place in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Sioux Center.
She is survived by her husband John G. Vande Berg; three sons, Gerald of Des Moines, James of Austin, Texas and Marvin of Glen Ellen, Ill.; and one daughter. Mrs. Virgil Truman of Waucoma; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Also by three sisters, Mrs. (Grace) Douwe Vande Berg, Sioux Center, Mrs. (Esther) Neal Schoep of Hospers and Mrs. (Ella) G.J. Vande Berg of Perry.
A brother, Wm. S. Beernink of Sioux Center preceded her in death on July of 1981.
