AGED HAWARDEN WOMAN IS DEAD

Mrs. J. D. Wilson, a resident of Hawarden for over 40 years, passed away at her home in the east part of this city at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon [October 8]. Mrs. Wilson had been in failing health for several years and about two years ago her son, Albert Wilson and his family, came to live with her and help care for her.

Funeral services were held at the Barnard Funeral home at 1 o'clock Tuesday afternoon with Rev. Noel Orcutt of the Associated church in charge. Her remains were taken to Worthington, Minn., for burial beside her husband.

Isabelle Maxwell was born July 17, 1860 in Georgetown, Quebec, Canada. When ten years of age she came to Delaware county, Iowa, with her parents. She received her education at Clinton after which she taught school. Sometimes school was conducted in her own home. In 1873, the family came to Rock Rapids where she married James Dobey Wilson on November 14, 1882. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson came to Hawarden in 1901 and he passed away February 2, 1937.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Georgia M. Albright of Worthington, Minn., two sons, Albert G. of Hawarden and Eugene B. of Garrison, N.D., and two sisters, Mrs. Ellen Younie of Hawarden and Mrs. Rebecca Byllesby of Sioux Falls.
