Mr. Dick E. Vander Berg passed away in Sioux Center Thursday evening at the age of 91
years. On October 28,1927, in Sioux Center, he was united in marriage to Nelvia Van Kley who
now survives. To this union three children were born: Milton and his wife Marlene of Holland,
Michigan; Eldon and his wife Wilma of Sioux Center; and Karen Vander Berg of Sioux Center.
He is also survived by one sister, Elsie Dykstra of Trosky, Minnesota, eight grandchildren
and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, John E., Douwe E. and Edward; and four sisters, Tina Vander Berg, Etta Aue, Bess Gritters, and Ida Baartman. Mr. Vander Berg was in business in Sioux Center for many years and had operated the Vander Berg Elevator and also the Siouxland Exchange. He was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church where he served as elder and deacon.
