Klave, Lillian, Mrs. Onno (Onnie), 1908-1982

Mrs. Onno Klave, 73, of Hawarden, died suddenly Saturday, January 16, at her home in Hawarden.

Services were at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Dwight Rengsdorf officiated. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Dow Funeral Home.

Mrs. Klave, the former Lillian Johnson, was born June 27, 1908, near Ireton. She married Onno Klave July 25, 1936 in Omaha. They lived in the Hawarden area all their married life. Mr. Klave died Aug. 27, 1976. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother and three infant daughters. Survivors include one son, Dennis, of Lexington, Ky.; two brothers, Onno of Le Mars and Elmer of Hawarden; and three grandsons.

Other friends and relatives noted as having attended the funeral (Hawarden Independent, Jan. 28) are Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Klave and Mr. and Mrs. Larry Klave, all of Sioux City; Mr. and Mrs. Art Klave, Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Klave, Mr. and Mrs. Barry Klave, all of Akron; Harley Wubben of Spencer, S.D.; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Torweile of Sioux City; Mildred Peters of Ireton.

A memorial was donated to the Hillcrest Care Center in her memory, to be used for the microphone fund (Hawarden Independent, March 4, 1982).
