Tena Van Otterloo, 94, died Saturday, May 7 at Hegg Memorial Hospital, Rock Valley.

Funeral service was 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Porter Funeral Chapel, Rock Valley. Burial was at Valley View Cemetery, Rock Valley.

Miss Van Otterloo was born August 1, 1910, to John and Hester (Vander Bok) Van Otterloo near Rock Valley. After School she began housekeeping until working at Keller Brass in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She then attended Reformed Bible College. She then worked at Bethany Christian Children’s Home for more than 20 years until retiring to Rock Valley in 1987. She moved to Valley Manor in 2003.

Survivors include one brother, Leonard (Bernice) Van Otterloo of Sioux Center; sisters-in-law, Joyce Van Otterloo and Rose Van Otterloo, both of Hull; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, John, Adam, Herman, Henry, Peter, Melvin, and Arend Van Otterloo; and sisters, Jennie and Agnes Van Otterloo and Alice Veltkamp.
