Peter W. Peters, 92, a former Hawarden resident, died Feb. 10 in Bridgeton, N.J. after a lengthy illness. Services were at 2:00 p.m. Feb. 24 at the Dow Funeral Home in Hawarden with the Rev. Weldon Treat in charge. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery, Hawarden.

Mr. Peters was born Nov. 30, 1883, in Russia. He came to the United States when he was two years old. His first wife died and he married Ruth Schouten in 1941. She died in 1958.

Mr. Peters was a school teacher for the Seventh-day Adventist School. He left Hawarden in 1965.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Lillian Dupper of Bridgeton, two grandchildren, and a brother, Henry of Fairview, Okla.
