Mrs. Ivan Engle, 76, of Hawarden, died Oct. 29 at the Hawarden hospital.

Services were at 10:30 Nov. 1 in the United Methodist Church at Hawarden. The Rev. Marion Bloodworth and the Rev. Walter Phelps officiated. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery under direction of Dow Funeral Home.

Mrs. Engle, the former Freda Freerksen, was born Feb. 5, 1900, in Freeport, Ill. She was married to Roy Dale June 30, 1930 in Canton, S.D. He died Sept. 2, 1959. She was married to Mr. Engle Oct. 3, 1969 in Canton. He died May 26, 1973. Mrs. Engle lived in the Hawarden-George area since 1952.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. V. P. (Evonne) Kane of Hawarden and Mrs. Kenneth (Shirley) Hansen of Rock Valley; one sister, Mrs. Esther Hauge of Las Vegas, Nev.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
