Mrs. John Anderson, 89, of Alcester, died Sept. 14 at a hospital in Hawarden, Iowa. Services were at 2 p.m. Sept. 17 in Dalesburg Lutheran Church, rural Beresford. The Rev. Robert Lundgren officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. The Wass Funeral Home of Beresford was in charge.

Mrs. Anderson, the former Hulda Inberg, was born Jan. 27, 1887 in Clay County. She was married Jan. 6, 1923 in Sioux City. The couple resided in the Inberg homestead in Clay County. Mrs. Anderson remained on the farm after her husband's death, moved to Centerville in 1968 for a year, to California five years, and finally to a nursing home in Alcester in 1974.

Survivors include nieces Mrs. Art Soderman and Mrs. Harvey Olson of Vermillion, Mrs. Verne Silkenson of Huntington Beach, Calif., and the Misses Anita and Francis Inberg, both of Los Angeles, Calif.
