Dick Van Es, 57, died of a heart attack at 8 o'clock Saturday morning at the home of his mother, where he has been living the past several years. He was born and reared on a farm near Newkirk.

Mr. Van Es is survived by his mother, Mrs. John Van Es; three brothers, Gerrit of Newkirk; John of Sheldon and Jake of Sibley. He was preceded in death by his father about ten years ago, and another brother, whose name was also Dick; Arie, his older brother; an infant brother and one sister, Tillie, Mrs. Ben Lystogt.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at the town hall at Orange City. Burial was in the Newkirk Cemetery.
