Edwin L. Van Maanen, 63, of Kersey, CO, died Wednesday, September 21, at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, Colorado. Services were held at Fellowship Church, in Greeley, with burial at Linn Grove Cemetery in Greeley.

Edwin was born June 25, 1942 in Doon, a son of Roy & Grace (Scholten) Van Maanen. He graduated from West Lyon High School and worked on the family farm and then served in the U.S. Navy as a firefighter, based in Okinawa Japan from 1964-1966.

He married Audrey Van't Hul on October 25, 1967 in Hull. They farmed near Inwood until 1979 prior to moving to Rock Valley. In 1980 they moved to Colorado and have lived there for the past 25 years.

Edwin is survived by his wife, Audrey; three daughters, Elissa Van Maanen and fiance', Jason Rogers of Greeley; Kim Van Maanen of Denver, CO, and Gwen Forster and husband, John of Briggsdale, CO; three sons, Edwin Van Maanen, Jr. and wife Sherri of Galeton, CO; Rich Van Maanen of Greeley; Chad Van Maanen and wife, Annamarie of Greeley; three granddaughters; five sisters, Marcia Van Ginkel and husband Gerald of Harrisburg, SD; Garlene Van Veldhuizen and husband John of Alvord; Joy Van Maanen of Rock Valley; Glenda Horstman and husband Robert of Inwood, and Julie Boyer and husband Frank of Hudson, SD; one brother, Roger Van Maanen and wife Lori of Inwood.
