Death Comes to Former City Employee

A heart attack claimed the life of Thomas J. Cammock, 69, on Tuesday, July 4. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Dow Funeral home with Rev. Father William Carel officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery.

Mr. Cammock was born May 8, 1898, in Ireland. He came to the United States in 1905 and settled in the Hawarden area. He married Minnie McCormick on September 1, 1925.

He worked as a lineman for the city and was a member of the fire department for 20 years. He also was a veteran of World War I.

He is survived by the widow; one daughter, Mrs. James Reilly of Sioux City; one sister, Mrs. Harry Brown of Hopkins, Minn.; one brother, Henry Cammock of Owatonna, Minn., and two grandchildren.
