Evert Jan Roghair, 81, passed away Saturday, after a short illness at the Bellwood Hospital, Bellflower, Calif. Mr. Roghair had spent his youth on a farm west of Orange City, later owning and operating the Sioux Center Auto Salvage business. He was widowed in 1951, when his wife Dena (Riphagen) passed away. He remarried in 1961 to Nel (Van Dyke). Mr. Roghair has one brother, William of Hospers and four sisters, Johanna Vander Broek, of Boone, Hcnryctta Van Dam of Edgerton, Minn., Anna May Groen of Sibley, and Evelyn Moorman of Nebraska
Survivors include two sons Edward of Sioux Center and William of Sheldon, and. one daughter, Esther Warntjes of Sheldon. Other survivors include 14 grandchildren and four great grand children.
Funeral arrangements are being conducted by the Coop Funeral Home of Sioux Center. Services will be held at the First Chirstian Reformed Church of Sioux Center, this Friday afternoon, at 2 p.m. Burial will be at the Memory Gardens Cemetery in Sioux Center.
