De Volksvriend, November 25, 1880, p. 3, col 1:

Tuesday, a five-year-old son of G. H. Haverkamp was interred. The sympathy for the parents in their heavy loss is universal. Since other members of the family have been stricken with the same fever, we were gladdened by the announcement at the church by Mr. Buursma that they are recovering. [Translated by J. Smith.]
