De Volksvriend, dated Jan. 29, 1879, p. 3, col 2:
During the night between Saturday and Sunday, the Widow Herren died here. Her body was transported by rail Monday morning to Forreston, Illinois, to be interred there. Mr. S. Kuyper accompanied the body. [Translated by J. Smith.]
