(Name in obit is spelled Van Horsen, rather than Van Horssen)

Mrs. William Van Horsen, nee Martha DeVries, was born in Holland, Minnesota on April 25, 1890, and passed away on August 6, 1965, at the Orange City Municipal Hospital after a lingering illness.

She was united in marriage to Henry Boeyink in 1911, and two sons were born to this union, Mr. Boeyink passed away in 1927.

On May 21, 1936 she was united in marriage to William Van Horsen, and they lived on a farm near Maurice, Iowa until 1943 when they retired and moved to Orange City. After many years of good health her strength began to fail and she was called to her eternal reward at the age of 75 years.

She is survived by her husband, two sons, Henry Louis of Sioux Center, Iowa, and Paul Warren of Reno, Nevada, two step-daughters, Elizabeth, Mrs. Arie Van Marel, and Margaret, Mrs. Tony Clevringa, both of Orange City, and one step-son, Gerry Van Horsen of Maurice, Iowa; four grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, four great grandchildren and eight step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

NOTE: She is buried in the Memory Gardens Cemetery.
