Mrs. John P. Enright an early day resident of Hawarden passed away at her home in Clinton, Iowa last Friday at the advanced age of 87 years. For many years she has made her home in Clinton, were she operated a rooming house and her son, Leo Enright made his home with her. Funeral services were held at Clinton, Monday and interment was made there.

Mrs.Mattie Enright nee Tucker came to Hawarden as a young woman with her family in the 80’s, her Husband John P. to whom she was married in 1877, being employed as an engineer on the North Western railway, but he died here about forty years ago. She continued to reside in Hawarden for several years after his death and then moved to Clinton where she since made her home.

She is survived by four sons, Arthur G. Enright of Mitchell, SD. , Roger A. Enright of Los Angles, Calif, Leo Enright of Clinton and Miles Enright of Davenport.
