Arthur G. Enright, 75, of Tracy, Minn., retired railroad conductor with the Milwaukee railroad 45 years, died Saturday December 4, in a Tracy hospital.

Mr.Enright grew up in Hawarden and was well known here. Last June Mr. Enright and his wife and her sisters, Mrs. Grete Hurlbut of Los Angeles visited in the home of the women’s cousin, Mrs. J.A. Armstrong, and with numerous friends.

Death followed hospitalization of nine weeks. Mr. Enright had been in feeble health since he fell and fractured a hip last January.
He was born in Tipton, Iowa Feb 18, 1879. Mr. Enright spent most of his working life at Sanborn, Iowa and Mitchell, SD. He was married in Hawarden June 24, 1902 to Bertha O. Dunham. Shortly afterward they moved to Mt. Vernon, ILL., across the Mississippi river from St. Louis, where they resided three years and where he was employed by the C. & E. I. Ryater moving to Sanborn, where the family resided until 1911. They then moved to Mitchell where they lived until Mr. Enright was retired from the Milwaukee railroad. He was a member of the brotherhoods of Railway Conductors; the St. Mary’s Episcopal congregation of Mitchell; and the Men’s club of that church.

Survivors are his wife, Bertha, son James Arthur Enright of Birmingham, Ala.; a daughter Mrs. Paul Krause of Tracy; two brothers, Leo E. Enright of Clinton, Iowa and Miles R. Enright of Ontario, One brother Roger of Norco, Calif. preceded him in death in Sept. 1953. A sister also preceded him in death. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Mrs. Warren Tenhoff , Carol Hope Enright and James Enright Jr. of Birmingham and a great grandchild Carrie Jane Tenhoff of Balaton.

Private family prayer services were held Monday afternoon, followed by funeral services at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church with Rev. Vincent Anderson of St. Paul, formerly of Tray and Rev. Wm Bruishett of Marshall officiating
