The little two year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Bertimer (Bertemus) died early Wednesday morning after an illness of two weeks with cramps of the stomach. Interment took place on Thursday in the St. Jospeh's Catholic cemetery.
(It is believed this is the cemetery index entry for Johan Bertemas born 23 Feb 1900 died 14 Oct 1902 (which possibly should be 1901) The same date and monthe being the same, only the year one year off. There was a famiy of Nickolas Bertamus living in Baker Township O'Brien county at the time which is just to the east of Granville. Nickolas born 1872 died 1928 MN was married to Margaret Schwebach 1877-1956. There children were Kumigunda, John 1900-1901, Anasthasia, Agatha, Veronica, Aloysius, Margaret and Saraphine. The family later settled in Yellow Medicine county MN.
