Samuel A. Lincoln returned Wed. from Forest City where he was called last week by the illness of his father Lewis C. Lincoln, who died Sunday. Deceased was seventy two years old. He was quite well known in Alton having visited here last fall.
(His son Samuel’s death is recorded on this site as Samuel A. Lincoln 1861-1936. Samuel was born May 25, 1861 Whiteside Co. IL to Lewis Lincoln and Adaline Gittard (from the IA 1925 census). Samuel died may 1936 at Alton IA. He was married to Carrie Given. )
