Mrs. Wm. Muilenburg, who serious illness THE HERALD mentioned last week, passed away on Thursday, at the age of 73 years, at the home of her son, A. W. Muilenburg two and a half miles northeast of Orange City, for whom she had kept house since the death of his wife six years ago. Deceased had lived in Sioux county since 1872; was a good, Christian woman and her death brought much sorrow to those who knew her best. She leaves three sons to mourn her demise—John W., A. W. and Rev. T. W. Muilenburg. The latter is the pastor of the First Reformed church at Grand Haven, Mich., and came here early last week and was with his mother until death relieved her sufferings, The funeral was held from the First Reformed church last Saturday, conducted by Dr. Steffens and Rev. Kolyn.

(1880 census of Sioux county lists Wm. C. Muilenburg age 55, wife Aartje age 51, children – John W., Adrianus, and Tunis. According to an ancestry.com report Antje J. Pallas was born Mar 13, 1827 and died Feb 21,1901 Orange City IA, her husband Willem Kornelis Muilenburg born Feb 12, 1824 Vuren Gelderland Neth died 9-8-1892 Orange City IA. They were married Dec 12, 1855 at Pella Marion Co. IA.)
