Rev. J. W. Warnshuis, who was pastor of the Reformed church at Alton in the 80s, died at his home in Grand Rapids, Mich.,as the result of a surgical operation. Mr. Warnbuis had a difficult stomach trouble which it was only possible to relieve by an operation which proved fatal at his advanced age which was nearly 70 years. The burial took place at Kalamazoo.

His wife was Hendrika Johanna Oonck 1839, Children were Nellie J. 1869, Jan Willem 1871, Edward 1873, Abbe 1877 and Frederick 1880. His parents were Jan Hendrik Warnshuis and Johanna Konings. He came to the USA in 1846, 1870 living in Cleveland OH, 1880 in Alton or East Orange, Sioux County IA, 1900 Grand Rapids MI.)
