Mrs. Johanna Van Wyk, born Vander Mast, wife of John J. Van Wyk, died at her home in Orange City, March 7th, aged 38 years, after an illness of nearly five years. Mrs. Van Wyk had been a great sufferer and during the last six month's her mind had become affected by the progress of the disease. She was-born in Pella and came to Sioux county in 1871 with her parents. After her marriage in 1886 Mr. and Mrs. Van Wyk lived for ten years near Middleburg. The funeral was conducted from the First Reformed church, of which deceased was a devoted member, last Saturday by Dr. Steffens assisted by Rev. Kolyn and Steffens and was largely attended.
