Mrs. Caroline Visser, 70, of Hospers died Monday, Jan. 14, 1991 at the Orange City Municipal Hospital.
Services were held Thursday at the Christian Reformed Church in Hospers with the Rev. Fred F. Gunnink officiating. Burial was in the Hospers Cemetery under direction of the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home of Hospers.
Mrs. Visser, the former Caroline Peters, was born July 9, 1920 at Alton, the daughter of Jacob and Katrina (Vander Stoep) Peters. She attended country school near Orange City. On Feb. 12, 1942 she married Gilbert Visser at Rock Valley. The couple farmed for three years north of Orange City and then moved to a farm near Sheldon where they farmed for 40 years. In 1985 they retired to Hospers. Mr. Visser died June 13, 1988.
Mrs. Visser was a member of Hospers Christian Reformed Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Arvin (Twila) Hofmeyer of Paullina; two sons, Ken and Rod, both of rural Sheldon; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Cornie (Marie) Moerman of Sioux Center and Mrs. Morris (Esther) Scholten of Hospers; a brother, Herb Peters of Sheldon; and her fiance, Richard Koldenhoven of Hospers.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
