Wiebe Brouwer passed away at his home here Sunday, Dec. 16, 1951, at the age of 86 years, 4 months and 17 days. Funeral services will be held in the First Reformed Church on Thursday afternoon.

Wiebe Brouwer was born at Pella, IA, on July 30, 1865, and grew to manhood in that vicinity. He was united in marriage to Anna Ver Steeg on Feb. 24, 1894. To this union 11 children were born. In 1898 they moved to Sioux County and spent the remainder of their lives in this area.

He is survived by his widow, and eight children: Vira, Mrs. Van Steenwyk of Sheldon, IA; Fred Brouwer of Inwood, IA; Nick, John and James at home, Gertrude, Mrs. Henry J. Kosters; Zena, Mrs. F. W. Marland, Anaheim, Calif.; Jake Brouwer of Sioux City, one brother and four sisters: James of Ripon, Calif.; Mrs. Nellie Brach of Pella, IA; Mrs. Cornelia Eggink of Ripon, Calif.; Mrs. Betra Vanden Oeve of Doon, IA; Mrs. Rena Stavast of Denver, Colo.; 22 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three children, Grace, Corneales and Henry.
