A. G. De Vries, one of the oldest of Sioux county's settlers, went to Maurice last Saturday to visit his sick daughter, Mrs. Gradus Brink, and while conversing with her dropped dead. Mr. De Vries was about 87 year old but bad been in perfect health up to tbe time of his sudden decease.

Neth died 25 May 1901 Orange City IA. wife Cornelia De Groot born 15 May 1813 died 16 Mar 1894 Orange City IA married 14 May 1846 at Het Bildt Fr. Neth. He was the son of Gerben Abes De Vries and Hiske Lieuwes. She was the daughter of Wieger Pieters de Groot and Tijntje Hendriks Visscher. They had the following children - Gerben 1847, Trientje 1849, Hiska 1851 and Grietje 1857.)
