Elda Mae Potts Elda Mae Potts (nee Heyman), 90, joined her late husband, Clarence "Buck" Potts, in death on Monday, Dec. 12, 2011. Elda was raised lovingly by her parents, Henrietta and Alexander, in the small, tight-knit community of Rock Valley, Iowa, where she was voted Best Dressed Girl and married her sweetheart, the Most Popular Boy, and traveled the world with him as he served in the Navy. She is survived by their two children, Cheryl (Jim) Simmons and Marty Potts, who are grateful for the kind influence that Elda had on everyone. Four grandchildren love and will miss her, Cathy, Debbie (Cary), Beth and Mike; and five great-grandchildren will remember her smile at family gatherings, Megan, Nathan, Brian, Charlie and Bennett. She was a very special and "gentle" woman who will be missed in the quiet moments that she always filled with her love. Elda was a member of the United Methodist Church of Libertyville. A private service for her family at McMurrough Funeral Chapel in Libertyville on Saturday morning will be followed by her final resting place next to Buck at Fort Sheridan
