Funeral services were held on Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Hospers for Sylvester Haag with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. George Theobold officiating. Mr. Haag, 59, died very unexpectedly on Wednesday noon from a heart attack at his home.

Born February 7, 1901, he was a lifelong resident of Hospers. Survivors include the widow, Mary, four sons, Kenneth, Charles and Paul all of Hospers and Bernard of Beaver City, Nebraska: five daughters, Miss Elizabeth Haag at home, Mrs. Rosemary Hoffman and Mrs. Agnes Pohlen both of Porter, Minnesota, Mrs. Antonette Meulebroeck of Taunton, Minnesota and Mrs. Dolores Schlichte of Hospers. Fifteen grandchildren and two brothers, John of Quimby, Iowa and Andrew of Wyoming, Minnesota also
survive.
