John Ver Meer
Funeral services for John Ver Meer, 50,of Rock were held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Van Ginkel Funeral Chapel with Rev. Phoebe Blankenship officiating. Burial was in Riverview cemetery
in Rock Rapids. Visitation was Wednesday evening from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
He died Monday. December 13, 1982 at his home.
Ver Meer was born February 13, 1932, in Rock Rapids to Ed and Elizabeth (Burggraaf) Ver Meer. On February 20, 1951, he married Joyce Lewis at Larchwood. He was employed at Farmers Elevator for 30 years.
Survivors include the widow; three daughters, Sonjia, at home, Mrs. Roger (Debra) Miller,
Rock Rapids and Mrs. Dale (Beverly) Plueger, Rock Valley; a son, Rodney John, Wallkill, N.Y.; four grandchildren; six brothers, Willy,- Arnold, Harold, Preston, Delmar and Bobby,
and a sister, Mrs. Dwight (Elsie)Nagel.
