Gregory Nieman
Gregory John Nieman, 16, of Orange City died Saturday, Feb. 28,1998 from injuries received in an automobile accident on Hi way 10 east of the Ireton corner.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 4 at the Faith Lutheran Church in Orange City. Pastor Dave Daumer officiated. Burial was in the West Lawn Cemetery at Orange
City under the direction of the Porter-Dow Funeral Home in Hawarden.
Gregory was born March 26,1981 at Sioux Falls, S.D., the son of John Mark and Connie (Stoeber) Nieman. He attended the West Sioux Community
School in Hawarden from kindergarten until his sophomore year. He was currently a junior at the Maurice Orange City Floyd Valley School. He enjoyed working on cars, snowboarding and
skateboarding.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather,
Connie and Greg Beernink of Orange City; his father, John Mark Nieman and his fiancee Meg Tentinger of LeMars; two sisters, Jill Nieman of
Sioux City and Monica Nieman who is attending UNI in Cedar Falls; grandparents, Bob and Betty Stoeber of Okoboji and Clayton and Jean Nieman of Spencer; and stepgrandparents, Gene and
Hermina Beernink of Sioux Center.
