HENRY STELLINGA
Henry Stellinga, 81, died Sunday March 5, 2000 at MPC Hospital in Rock Rapids. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Thursday, at the Protestant Reformed Church in Doon. Rev. Richard Smit officiating.
Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery in Doon. Porter Funeral Home, Rock Valley, was in charge
of the arrangements.
Henry Stellinga was born November 15, 1918, in Rock Rapids, son of Syborn and Hattie (Kuyper) Stellinga. He attended and graduated from Doon Community Highschool. He married Dorothy Kelderman on December 8,1942, in Doon. Henry worked for the Quaker Oats Company which became the Doon Elevator in Doon. Dorothy died August 25, 1991. Henry moved to the Lyon Manor in March of 1999. He was a member of the Protestant Reformed Church in Doon. He enjoyed watching racing and going to the Rapid Speedway in Rock Rapids. He was also a fan of professional wrestling.
Surviving relatives include 2 sons and their wives, Art and Arlene Stellinga of Rock Valley,
Jay and Margene Stellinga of Hull; one daughter and her husband, Arlis and Jerry Hoesktra
of Doon; one brother and his wife, Sid and Judene Stellinga of Sioux Falls; one sister and her husband, Marge and Alvie Bremmer of Naples, FL.; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
