Last Saturday afternoon, April 7th,
at his home in the northeast part of
town occurred-the death of Mr. Dirk
De Cook,- aged 84 years. Deceased.
had been an invalid for a number ot
years, hence his death was not unexpected
by his family. He was an old
settler of Sioux county and was held
ia the highest esteem by all. He
leaves his aged wife and three sons,
John, Peter and Richard all grown
to mourn his demise. The funeral
waa held from the First Reformed
church Monday afternoon, conducted
by the regular pastor The body rests
in the Orange City cemeterv.
