John Sullivan died last Monday morning at about 9 o'clock, after an illness of about four days with meningitis. He leaves a wife and four children to mourn for his loss. The remains were taken to Freeport IL, Monday evening where they were placed for interment. Mrs. John Sullivan and her mother Mrs. John Burkhardt and Mr. and Mrs. P. J. Baadte accompanied the remains to its last resting place. The communtiy extend their deepest sympathy to the afflicted in their bereavement.
(In 1900 there was a John Sullivan born 1834 Ireland with wife Mary b. May 1837 living in Sioux county. Peter J. Baadte was married to Eleanor Sullivan sister of this John.)
