Mr. Jacob Versluijs of Hull passed away at his home Wednesday morning early following an illness of three months. Funeral services will be held from the home on Saturday afternoon at 1:30. Rev. Douwstra officiating. Burial will be in the Hull cemetery.

Jacob Versluijs was born on Sept. 29, 1859, at Fijnaart, Noord Braband, Holland, and came to this country as a youth, settling in this territory where he has made his home since. He was married to Mrs. Gertrude Ypma on Sept. 24, 1894. Besides his widow, who is 75 years old, survivors include three children: Mrs. H. C. De Groot of Rock Valley; C. H. Versluijs of Lake Benton, Minn.; Gerrit of Ruthton, Minn.; 10 grandchildren; one sister Mrs. Marie Van Dis in Holland, a twin brother Gerrit and a brother Arie both in Canada. A daughter died in infancy and a son Jacob at the age of 19.
