MRS. MILLIE THAYER
Mrs. Millie Thayer, a brief account of whose death was given in last week's Bee, was born in Tama County, Iowa, .Feb. 15, 1863, and died at Venice, California, Feb.l7 1923. About, three years ago she suffered a stroke' of paralysis from which she never fully., recovered, and her failing health dates from that time.
Mrs. Thayer was well known in Rock Valley and vicinity, having lived here for over twenty years. She was highly respected by all who knew her and. had many friends here who sincerely regret her death.
Her early life was spent in Tama County where she was born and grew to womanhood. She was married to Adelbert Thayer whose death occurred, several years ago.The family moved to Rock Valley in 1885 and resided here until 1906 when they moved to Denver, Colorado.
Thayer lived there until three Years ago when she went to Venice, CA, where the past three years of her life were spent.
She leaves a daughter and three sons: Mrs. Verna White of Venice CA and Bert and Fon Thayer of Dertrail CA and Harold Thayer of Los Angeles, CA. she also leaves her mother, Mrs. Armstong off Lake View IA and Three brothers and one sister.
The remains were brought to Rock Valley for burial arriving here Friday, and funeral services were held in the Methodist church Friday afternoon.
