DONALD VAN HILL
FUNERAL SERVICE: June 28, 2002, Pioneer United Methodist Church, Rock Valley, Iowa
INTERMENT: Sheridan Township Cemetery, Boyden, Iowa
Donald Van Hill was born on August 1, 1931 in Inwood, IA, son of Gysbertus (Gilbert) and Christina (Wallenburg) Van Hill. Donald married Grace Van Grootheest on October 17, 1951 in Inwood. Together they lived in Rock Valley, Alvord and Doon before moving to Boyden in 1975 where Donald worked several jobs before farming SW of Boyden for the last 13 years. They moved to Rock Valley in July of 2001. Don died Wednesday, June 26, 2002 at the Hegg Memorial Hospital in Rock Valley. He was 70 years 10 months 25 days of age.
Don is survived by his wife, Grace; 2 sons, Harlan and wife Paula Van Hill, Darrel Van Hill all of Rock Valley; one daughter and her husband, Diana and Jay Van Ravensway of Orange City, IA; 4 brothers Al Van Hill of Rock Rapids, IA, Tony and wife Henrietta Van Hill of Alvord, IA, Joe Van Hill of Rock Rapids, Bud and wife Geneva Van Hill of Inwood; one sister, Christina Kroon of Rock Rapids; 4 grandchildren.
