Mr. John Brolsma, age 77, of Indiana, formerly of Orange City, passed away Sunday, January 25, in Indiana.

There was a graveside memorial service on Friday, January 30, at 10:00 A.M., at the West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City. The Rev. Jonathan Opgenorth officiated. Arrangements were with the Oolman Funeral Home in Orange City.

John, who was known as "Jack" was born May 19, 1926, in Orange City, the son of John Henry and Jacoba Marie (Rozeboom) Brolsma. He served in the United States Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict.

He made his home in Orange City in later years and recently moved to Indiana.

Survivors include his four children, John Jeffrey Brolsma of Michigan City, Indiana; Stephen Stewart Brolsma of Madison, Alabama; Johnna Jane, and her husband, Donald Dolph, of Michigan City; and Linda Leila Brolsma of Porter, Indiana; and five grandchildren, Donald Michael Dolph, Jr., Bobbie Rose Dolph, Michelle Alyce Brolsma, Aaron Matthew Brolsma and William M. Brown.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Alvin, Lawrence, and Gerald Brolsma, and Ade Bos; and a sister, Eileen Chase.

Memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association.
